We got home from the hospital a couple of hours ago. We are all pretty tired but very happy. It is nice to be home.

She is such a sweetheart and we love her so much already.

We had our little girl. She is exactly 7 pounds, 20 inches and she was born exactly to the second 12:00 noon. We are naming her McKayla Mae Harrison. Very Cool!

Here's the scoop

Right now it is 10:15 and it is 100 degrees outside. The heat is literally unbearable and I choose to spend the majority of my days inside.

I am tired of hearing about Micheal Jackson. Is it just me or does it seem like he became more famous by dying than by anything he ever did while living. I don't care about the last thing that he ever bought, said or did. I am amazed that people are still surprised at his death- when you are taking that many pain killers wouldn't the most obvious end result would be death? I do not think that the city of L.A. should be responsible for paying the 1.4 million dollars for his funeral. It seems to me that with all of the news interviews and broadcasts that Micheal's family members are doing there should be enough money to cover the funeral for their son/brother. I think that he was weird- in every sense of the word. I don't think that his music was that terrific and his dancing was okay. Do we not have any more news worthy than the 3-4 week old death of somebody that wasn't even that great in the first place? Come on.

On to another note. I have been going to the doctor every week and she says that things are looking good. I am dialated, effaced and measuring about two weeks further along than what I am. Things are really progressing. My doctor thinks that we will have the baby early. In fact, she told me that she didn't want me to really be doing anything until I have reached my 37 week mark- which is this Wednesday. We are getting excited and feeling anxious about how the next few weeks will go. Kyle has been working hard to get the business in a position that his role can be minimal for a few days after we have the baby. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and a new adventure that comes along with it. Everybody asks us when we think she will come. Kyle says he thinks it will be sometime this week but I think maybe this weekend. We really don't know and don't want to get our hopes up. Whenever is fine with us and we will keep you posted- don't worry.

A quick update

This week has been pretty busy for us. Here are some of the highlights.

This is at 35.5 weeks. I look like there is a basketball stuffed up my shirt. Everybody always asks me when she dropped and I keep telling them that she has been that low for my entire pregnancy. Also, yesterday we were at costco eating the samples and I actually saw a little kid staring, pointing at me and then going to his mom so she could look at me as well. And, whenever I sat down several people told me- You know, you can't have that baby here or something like that. It's all I can do to politely smile and make a nice comment. Little do they know that I am really thinking- No duh or You think that you are being funny/original, but little do you know that you are like the 50 millionth person to have said something like that to me.

I am in the process of making the crib set for the baby. This is the bedskirt that I finished the other day. I am really happy with it. I am so close to being done with the quilt and wanted to post a picture, but then I thought that I would just wait a day or two until it is all done. It looks so cute though.

I recently recieved these as a gift and I thought that they were so adorable. People have been very kind to us. We thought that these would be especially perfect for when we visit Grandma and Grandpa.
Lastly, Kyle got a new calling- again. He is now the 3rd counselor in the Elder's Quorum?? Presidency. Yes, in our ward there are 3 counselors. He will do such a great job and will definitely be busier than ever.
Oh- we went to the Doctor on Wednesday and she says that things are progressing along very well. She also thinks that the baby will be coming early. We have actually thought that for a while. I am almost done with all of my projects and then she is more than welcome to come!

I never thought...

That we would ever get a couch. At least it felt like we never would....

but we did!
(and we got it for free too!!)
That the state of Nevada could produce a flower that was
this cool looking...

but it does.

That I would ever start this quilt....

but I did today. There is supposed to be green in it as well but it just

didn't look right.

That I would ever get this big....

but I am. This is at 34 weeks.

That I would ever be a sample girl at Sam's Club...
but I was. Sorry no picture!
I feel bad that it has been so long in between postings but I will do better- I promise.
