I got an itch

The other day I was talking to my sister- this is how the conversation went.
Me: Hey Kristen, you will never guess what happened today
Kristen: What, you got a big itch and decided to update your blog?
Me: Um, no.

Well today I got the itch.

And there is alot that needs to be updated.

#1- Our new TV
Yes, we finally broke down and got a bigger tv. Well, not really but that's what we like to think. A couple of weeks ago I was coming home from some errands and I saw this sitting next to the dumpster. Part of me feels embarrassed that we keep finding all of these things by the dumpster. But when Kyle brought the t.v. in later to see if it worked- and it worked better than our other much smaller t.v.- I couldn't help but to feel quite proud of myself.

#2- Utah
We went to Utah a couple of weekends ago and it was wonderful. The weather was perfect, we got to see a lot of both families, we had family pictures (much to Kyle's dismay) and I had a baby shower. Needless to say we feel very blessed to have so much love and support from so many people.

#3- Rexburg Visitors
Last weekend we had some of our good friends from Rexburg drive all the way down here to spend Memorial Day weekend with us. We had everyday packed with things to do and I don't think that I have ever been so exhausted. But it was really fun!

One night we went to the strip. We stopped at my favorite part, the fountains at the Bellagio, and watched the water show. That day we also went to the shark reefs at the Mandalay Bay, and a good buffet.

On another day we went and visited the Hoover Dam- it was actually pretty cool

And then on Sunday we drove up to Kyle Canyon to get away from the heat. We didn't stay for as long as we wanted too but that is only because our picnic blanket was too small, and the ants were attacking us. I guess that is why people make reservations to get actual table and spots.

#4- 29.5 Weeks
The end is near- what a blessing. I am feeling like I want this baby to be here. Everybody says that the next 10 weeks are going to go by fast and I can only pray that they do. I don't know if they will though just because I feel her moving all of the time. So, as a result I am now constantly reminded that I have a baby inside of me. Whereas during my first and second trimester it wasn't like that. It's all good though. By the way, I am still measuring big.

#5- Privatizing ourselves
After much contemplation on this subject, we have decided to make our blog private. There are several reasons for this, which I won't go into right now. So, as of a month from tomorrow (July 1st) we are going to make our blog private. We still want our friends and family to look at our blog though, which is why we are making this change in a month from now. Please give us your info so we can put you on the list and sorry if it is inconvenient but it is just something we feel like we need to do.
This is Kyle saying, "If you send us your stuff so you can look at our private blog, all of your wildest dreams will come true!!"

My new project

Have I ever mentioned that I am a project person? Well I am, and I get it from my mother. My newest project is to become a smarter grocery shopper, and yesterday I did the best that I have ever done. My bill would have been 120 dollars- and I only paid 60!! I was so proud of myself and spent the rest of the night gloating- which probably drove Kyle crazy. Isn't that so awesome though? I think it is.

My best buy was this:

They are so yummy and I got them for .88 cents! I also got a box of normal frosted mini wheats- blueberry frosted and strawberry frosted- for .88 cents each.

And since I am getting all these great deals, I had to have a place to put everything. So I did this...

We had some extra shelves that we use at our warehouse so I set them up and put them to good use. There are two that are side by side and I am hoping that they will be full of food storage items shortly.

Oh and I also found another deal where if you bought 2 cake mixes you got 3 more for free! So we stocked up. Yay me!

What??

Another post in my blog?? So soon too. That means that all of you out there who tell me that I don't update enough should be really happy!!

Last weekend was so great. I actually had Kyle with me for all of Saturday!! That has only happened one other time since December. It was so nice. I love him so much!

On Friday we got a last minute call from one of Kyle's clients asking us if we wanted to come to the Susan G Koman event the next morning and walk for cancer. Well, I always thought that it would be a neat thing to do- and it was even one of the things on my life list. So we said yes! The next morning we woke up nice and early- much to Kyle's dismay- and headed to downtown Las Vegas, where the old strip used to be. It was so cool to see the tens of thousands of people who had gethered together to support such a great cause.

Here I am with my walking buddy just before the race is about to start. She was nice enough to go at a slower pace than I am sure she had wanted. We walked the 5K- which has the same equivalent to 3 miles. Kyle didn't think that I was going to make it. He even said, "Amanda, you get tired when we walk around the mall- how do you think you are going to do 3 miles?" But it was something that I really wanted to do and I had my mind set on doing it. It was great- long but great.

Here are my hands after I was done walking. This picture doesn't really give them justice but they were so incredibly fat and my feet were killing me!! The next day, when I woke up I realized that maybe that was not the best thing to do when you are 6 months pregnant. I don't remember ever being so sore in my entire life, but it was totally worth it. I think that we will do it again next year and now I can check something off of my life list!

After the race we ran over to Kyle's uncle and aunt's house for a baby shower. It was pretty fun. Then, later that night we all met up at the temple to be with the sister who is getting ready to go on her mission. It a perfect way to end the day.

Here we all are. Kyle and I are so grateful that they let us come and do things with them- thanks again guys.

And since there are five of us who are all pregnant at the same time, we think it's fun to take pictures of all of us together to see the how everybody is progressing.

Here we are in January- the one with the baby isn't pregnant. And we are in the order of when our due dates are.

And here we all are again just a few nights ago. Funny what a couple of months will do!
