So about the chickens. You know how we had three? Well last week we ended up with only two, because one of the chickens (Tom) ended up being a turkey. Yes, you read right and yes I do mean a literal turkey.
We realized that something a little weird was happening whe
n Tom was almost twice as tall and he had a different color of legs and feet. Also, he just looked different.
And come to find out, turkeys eat a ton- which explains how fast we were going through the feed. And, they are insanely stupid- which explains why the fed and water bottles were almost always knocked over on their sides.
Kyle called the store and they thankfully said that they would take Tom back and we could get another chicken to replace him. But could we be good with just that. Um no, we had to get not one, but two more chickens. You know, because if we only got one then it would get lonely and would probably be picked on by the bigger two.
So, here are the two newest chickens.
We named the yellow one Tom number 2. He is the same brand as the newest two.
We named the red one Bernard. He is a Rhode Island red chicken.
Here are the oldest two, just to show you how much bigger they have gotten.

I am thinking you will have some lovely chicken meals in the future.
That's so funny! I wonder how that happened in the first place.
I love this post!
